Another options is: Install ubuntu minimal; don't install lubuntu; <br />install Xorg (sudo apt-get install xorg)<br />install lxde-core (sudo apt-get install lxde-core) (minimal and nice lxde);<br />install login manager (sudo apt-get install gdm; (or lightdm)(gdm more simple).<br />install ubuntu software (sudo apt-get install software-center) it will help you later.<br />Maybe it will be more lighter, is not? Lubuntu have LXPanel + openbox + pcmanfm (full process).<br /><br />CB is more lighter of Lubuntu with difference of ~50-60 Mo.
